  • Katherine Sims

Katherine was elected to the Vermont House of Representative in 2020 and is a nonprofit fundraising consultant working with small and mid-sized nonprofits to hone their systems and grow their impact. Katherine’s involvement in communities and nonprofits is deep. In 2007, she founded nonprofit Green Mountain Farm-to-School to advocate for childhood nutrition and farm viability. In 2017, she was hired to lead the Northeast Kingdom Collaborative, which drives economic and community development by identifying priorities across sectors and taking action. Katherine currently serves as a board member of the Vermont Land Trust, Northeast Kingdom Community Broadband, and Emerge Vermont. Katherine is a graduate of Yale University and lives in Craftsbury with her husband, Jeff Fellinger, and their two sons ages 4 and almost 2. In her ‘spare’ time, Katherine is an avid gardener and enjoys knitting by the fire in the winter when she’s not out skiing.

  • Nick Hardigg

Nick has worked in the conservation sphere for three decades. For the past 15 years, he has served as Executive Director for Alaska Conservation Foundation, the Portland Parks Foundation, and Portland Audubon. At each organization, he adapted its business model to survive and thrive during times of change. No challenge has been greater and more fulfilling than adapting the culture of exclusive conservation groups to recognize and embrace real inclusiveness. Early in his career, he oversaw tourism operations for the National Park Service at the Grand Canyon and Denali. Nick received an MBA from Yale School of Management. Outside of work, Nick enjoys biking, running, paddling, making sawdust, and laughing with his family.
