At Thimbleberry Collaborative Farm, we aim to co-create a more sustainable, equitable, efficient, and healthy food system.

Our mission is to advance individual, community, and environmental health in East Multnomah County by providing healthy, locally grown produce; access to land; educational programs; and community-led events.

Where is the Farm?

Thimbleberry Collaborative Farm is located in Boring, about a 10-15 min drive from downtown Gresham! Our address is 29089 SE Kelso Rd., Boring, OR 97009. Our property is 5 acres, with 1 acre currently leased by a different farmer. We hope you can come visit soon!

As a nonprofit organization, Thimbleberry Collaborative Farm is funded primarily with grants and donations, but we will increase our earned income over time. We earn revenue by partnering with Wallace and Milk Crate on a farm-to-table meal delivery program for medical patients (funded by Wallace) and by charging sliding scale fees for educational and community programs.

How is it Funded?

The farm uses organic and, whenever possible, regenerative practices to provide healthy, affordable food to local communities. We donate the majority of our produce but we also sell some at the Gresham Farmers Market and Silk Café on Orient Dr. Next season, we plan to start a CSA (Community-Supported Agriculture) program with a sliding scale fee system.

Community Involvement

Thimbleberry Collaborative has partnered with Gresham Barlow School District to provide field trip opportunities for students.

We are now official members of the Rockwood Food System Collaborative, working together to help our community thrive!
