2025 Volunteer Days
From March until November, we will have weekly volunteer days on Wednesdays, 9am-12pm, at the farm (29089 SE Kelso Rd.). Everyone is welcome! Tasks will vary week to week, but will often include working in our row crop area, learning garden, orchard, and/or chicken run.
Our first weekly volunteer day will be March 5 and our last volunteer day of the year will be November 26.

Earth Day Volunteer Day & Celebration
🌎 You're invited to our Earth Day Volunteer Day & Celebration, April 19, 10am-2pm! We benefit every day from Mother Earth's gifts-- from the rich soil where we grow our crops, to the plentiful rainfall that we enjoy here in NW Oregon, to the beautiful view of Mt. Hood that we are blessed with on clear days at the farm-- and we are excited to use this opportunity to practice good environmental stewardship and celebrate Mother Earth with our community.
Join us for some volunteer tasks (active, regenerative farming-related tasks, as well as sheltered/ seated tasks for those with mobility limitations), Capoeira dance lessons from our friend Alberto, a farm-fresh lunch, and some fun family-friendly activities (lawn games, a gnome scavenger hunt, and more!).
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. believed in a nation of freedom and justice for all, and encouraged all citizens to live up to the purpose and potential of America by applying the principles of nonviolence. MLK Day of Service is a way to honor his life and teachings by engaging in community service activities that improve the lives of others. Join us on January 20th, 9am-1pm, to work on farm tasks (outside with tools + seated, sheltered options included) that will help Thimbleberry to live out our mission to advance individual, community and environmental health in East Multnomah County through our food access, education, and community-building programs.
We’ll work together for a few hours before gathering for a warm meal, prepared by staff. Hope to see you there!
2025 Días de Voluntariado
De marzo a noviembre, tendremos días de voluntariado semanales los miércoles, de 9 a. m. a 12 p. m., en la granja (29089 SE Kelso Rd.). ¡Todos son bienvenidos! Las tareas variarán de una semana a otra, pero a menudo incluirán trabajar en nuestra área de cultivos en hileras, jardín de aprendizaje, huerto y/o gallinero.
Nuestro primer día de voluntariado semanal será el 5 de marzo y nuestro último día de voluntariado del año será el 26 de noviembre.
